Susan and Ronald Green moved to the Wood River Valley from Greensboro, NC in 2000, first as part-timers and then as full time residents in 2006.
A graduate of Smith College and UNC School of Social Work, Susan is a licensed marital and family therapist and a divorce mediator. She practiced in a psychiatric group setting for 20 years before retiring in 2001. Steve Dorinson
Treasurer
As a full time resident from 1989 to 1994, Steve, along with his wife, Susanne Marx, remembers the early days of the Jewish community here in the Wood River Valley, even before the formation of the WRJC. At that time most of the activities centered around the High Holy Days with a visiting Rabbi, Hannukah and Passover. Steve and Susanne have been members of the WRJC since its founding and, after several years as part time residents Steve, Susanne and their daughter Emma have returned as full time residents. Emma will be attending sixth grade at the Wood River Middle School.
Steve was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Marin County in particular. Both Steve and Susanne graduated from University of California, Berkeley; Steve in 1969 and Susanne in 1984. In the early 1980’s, Steve established a successful seafood restaurant in San Francisco and then returned to the investment management area. Currently, Steve is a Senior Vice President-Investments, PIM Portfolio Manager for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.
Steve’s other activities include service on two HOA boards here in Ketchum as well as previous board duty for Voices for Children, a CASA organization in San Diego. Leisure activities here are skiing, biking, hiking and golf.
As a board member, Steve thinks it is vitally important to maintain a visible presence for the Jewish community here in the valley and to promote community educational efforts, in addition to providing basic services to the members of the WRJC.
