The Wood River Jewish Community is a gathering place that strives to perpetuate Jewish tradition through worship, fellowship and learning. Founded in 1976, we seek to provide a welcoming and caring community in the Wood River Valley.

Our membership consists of over 170 families, with both full-time and part-time residents. The WRJC is open year-round, with cultural, educational, and religious programming for all ages. Our Shabbat services and special events are open to all.

The Board of Directors of the WRJC is pleased to announce the appointment of Rabbi Cantor Robbi Sherwin as our spiritual leader effective February 1, 2018.

Rabbi Cantor Sherwin has been Rabbi Cantor of Congregation B'nai Butte, Crested Butte, Colorado since 2007 and a member of the clergy team of Congregation Kol Halev, Austin, Texas, since 1997. With Scott Leader and Steve Brodsky, Rabbi Cantor Sherwin is a member of the Jewish folk-rock band Sababa bringing original cool Jewish music to audiences of all faiths worldwide. Rabbi Cantor Sherwin is also Executive Vice President of the Women Cantors' Network and will become President in June.

Our quarterly magazine, The Shofar, contains letters from community leaders and insights on Judaism in our community.

Our weekly newsletter, which is sent to members and non-members, contains community news, upcoming events, and information on this week's Shabbat services. To join the mailing list, click the button below. To inquire about advertising, please contact Claudie Goldstein
