Adult Education

The Hebrew word Tamid, which can be translated as “continuous” or “eternal”, links us to our past, honors our present, and connects us to the future. As a community we believe in a growth-mindset, life-long learning and knowledge as truth.

It is because of these pillars of educational belief that we are excited to offer our current and future learners/members a wide array of on-going courses and experiences — to expand their thinking, build connection to Jewish tradition and the Jewish people, and nourish our souls.

NEW! "Beyond" Torah Study - Starts Monday, Oct 28th

We begin this year of 5785 with a new adult education course called "Beyond" Torah Study. Right after we complete the Torah and the book of Deuteronomy, traditionally we begin again with Genesis. However, we also can continue at our own pace with the rest of the Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible, beginning with the book of Joshua and going from there through the Prophets and Writings. Please contact us if you’re interested in being a part of this biblical journey! We begin Monday, Oct 28th at 5:30 pm in-person and online.

Following are additional examples of our adult education offerings:

  • Weekly Torah study
  • Jewish Film Festival
  • Guest lecturers on Jewish thought and experience
  • Marjorie Friedlander Book Club
  • Opportunities for learning with the Interfaith Community of the Wood River Valley

If you are interested in an Introduction to Judaism course, please contact us to get in touch with Rabbi Klein.
